Exactly What To Look For In Products If You Have Sensitive Skin
As you guys know, redness and sensitivity is something I struggle with on the daily. Being acne prone can make it hard to find products that are gentle on my skin without clogging my pores. Today I’m showing you my top three tried-and-true favorite ways to reduce facial redness.
1. Reach for skin-calming products.
When my face is feeling a little irritated, I usually reach for a nice calming moisturizer like the Burt’s Bees Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream—I love this moisturizer. It’s fragrance-free and just feels really nice and soothing on the skin.
2. Try an ice roller.
Next I’ll use my trusty ice roller to help reduce any swelling or inflammation that typically comes with my breakouts.
3. Make a cucumber compress.
And lastly, I’ll make a little cucumber compress from cucumbers, eye cream, and a cold, damp face cloth to relieve itchy eyes caused by allergies or screen fatigue—it happens when you’re working on a computer all day!
My daily checklist for a good skin day.
There are a few other things I do that help keep my skin happy, like drinking celery juice every day and making sure I have at least a couple makeup-free days each week—but these three tips are the ones I live by. Managing the skin is all about listening to it, making sure you’re following a holistic approach, and supporting with a routine that’s right for you!
